Forza Motorsport 2

I hate the factory spec races (especially that fucking porsche one)

speaking of that^ (as i need to pick up a hard drive so i haven't seen career mode yet)

does anybody know if the races are different for the different continents of origin?

Nah origin means next to nothing, the only thing I can tell from picking a continent is that when you level up you get discounts from the manufactures in your picked origin.

First off the lack of ingame music, but its no big deal as i have a radio that i can just turn on and listen to.

Lack of in game music, do you mean when you are racing, or in the menus. In the menus I can understand, but when you're racing.... you've got to be out of your mind, the music when you're racing is the best. When I say the music when you're racing, I mean the soundtrack that is engine noise.

Also the regions are exactly the same as the previous game, just few new cars, and the award system has got differences.

the engine do sound 100x better then any other racing game ive ever played, with the exception maybe of such hardcore simulators as GTR

with that said, its still atleast as good

anybody know if Turbo cars belch flames in this game yet? i don't remember that ever happening in FM1, small details really :p

anyways, time to go start career mode! i bought a 20gb, can't imagine needing more, even if i do rent movies ETC off xbox live

Any more then me here who thinks driving AWD cars are boringly easy? You can do the most outrageous slides, but you will still going to be able to catch it.

maybe not boring, as theirs more to it then just the handling (altough id give handling the largest chunk :p )

The R32 for example is exciting enough as it makes yummy VR6 sounds,

speaking of this i need to go drive my Delta, haven't tried it out yet!

Personally, when the cars get easier i just get more dangerous, and that makes up for it

not me, i usually get that more with over powered rwd's. my awd's understeer too much still. and its also set up for balance not oversteer

the delta slided more in the first game, which i thought was a bit unrealistic, but fun

Traction is always nice to have! but i don't mind a challenge either, flaws can often be used to learn new skills. So-far im rather happy that all the cars ive driven have been rather interesting, they all seem to have a intricate "mood", for example Is it just me or does the Countach get a twitch on under braking? a rampaging bull is exactly what it feels like, i was pleasantly suprised by that car, i was worried it would be a boat

have you ever seen a video of the delta? it slides ALOT,

im wondering how the lift-off oversteer is, should be a bit with the 48/52 weight distribution

I'm still getting used to the physics, hard to go fast, one thing i did find (that was satisfying) is that i could shave almost 2 seconds off a 50 second lap just by buying a differential (for a mki GTI) made me soooo happy once i stopped understeering into walls

I havent seen videos of the delta, however i have driven the delta in this game, and i was telling you from my experience and driving style that it doesnt slide a lot.

My biggie about AWD is mostly that RWD and FWD cars are a lot more rewarding and fun to drive. For example: I'd easily take my A-class mini over anything else, even tho it needs extremely precise controll to be driven properly. If I floor it in a corner, I get a billion ton of understeer.. :p And my s-class exige 240: if I floor it in a corner, it starts to slide, but again, its fun when you manage to controll that slide without running into the wall.

sorry ive not contributed for a while... pig sick at the moment. viral tonsilitus or some such. it absolutely sucks.

on a side note, ive just decided that if i even win the lottery i think i'll buy up a bunch of classic italian cars and spend my time delivering Pizza in them :)

back on subject, even from my point of view the car is still fun, so i think the balance in forza=great

the only thing that has annoyed me so far is the sound of the 4age engine (ae86 Trueno sprinter) ive never heard it sound that farty in real life, but for some reason they made it sound like crap in the game,

heres a stock Sprinter sound (with broken exhaust presumably)

heres a video of my MR2 with the same engine, but with less broken exhaust

i think both of those are way meatier then what its like in the game, still a inline 4 sound, but not like a weed wacker so much as a oversized bike engine

How do I turn off the flashing lights around the "X" on the controller?

Charge your batteries. If you're using the MS rechargeable battaries, then just run it till it dies. If you're using AA battiers, then do what you want. But when the Xbox "X" starts to flash It means that your down to your last bit of battery then when it starts flashing all the time it means that you're running it dry. The flashes also co-repsonds with the battery metre on the top of the Xbox Guide menu.

*shrug* I didn't paint it, I only drive it.

Good point, lol. Hope you bought it underpriced.

I report people like that to FM.net :p

What`s wrong with people doing "designs" like that....
