The Japanese are doing this too, but Japan's limitations in military means they make it primarily for civilians.

This one is much more compact than the American version, and you can freely walk around anywhere.

Anyone think that the American one would, on its own, just rape the Japanese with tons of scientist going "shit shit I knew it was a bad idea; why couldn't we just have made a suit and not a robot one"

Would be kinda nice to think that even if our guys die the suit could fight on. Nothing like seeing the body of the guy you thought you killed bust through a wall. If we really wanted to scare the enemy we could just stuff their corpses into the suits and have then march around like meat puppets.

The American suit is only tethered for test purposes, you can do whatever you want.

....then why don't they just make fully automated robot suits? Im sure families of the deceased soldiers don't want them running around in exosuits

Thats the idea imagine if your enimy mas made up of the dead parts of your friends. It would be really hard to shoot at your friends. Plus the meat puppet marches would really drive home the point that we are not to be messed with.

That said think about how helpful this would be when fixing your car need to change the tire just hold up the car need to change the oil just hold the car upside down and shake it out.
