The whole thing seemed fake and artificial. James and Richard's choices of cars and their methods of modifications broke my suspension of disbelief. Thinking back to the "unscripted" episode, I seem to remember Jeremy mentioning that normally they would have the production crew scout a route in advance. . .if that's true, why in the world would James choose a rear wheel drive car with no ride clearance and why would Richard choose a motorcycle? Maybe I'm being too cynical, but the whole thing seemed like it was planned out in advance and that they wrote the whole thing ahead of time. Badly, I might add. Even during the episode, Jeremy mentions that watching Richard fall off the bike isn't funny anymore. So why would they make us watch it more? As a whole it seems like The Grand Tour is far more hit and miss than Top Gear ever was, which is a real shame because I enjoyed every episode of Clarkson, Hammond, and May's last season of Top Gear. 2/10
