The IWI Tavor is a fun platform. I had high hopes for the MDX, but... well, we know how that's turning out.
From what I've seen online the initial issues with the MDR were fixed, and the 5.56 conversion seems like a very nice shooter.
I've played with my X95 a bit at home, and the initial impressions are, it's a very nice gun.
The design is well thought out, the gun comes in a nice soft case, with a cleaning kit and 2 QD sling swivels.
I like the removable panels over the Picatinny at the 3, 6 and 9 positions.
The top rail seems low vs the cheekweld, but it seems still usable with my lpvo in the Burris PEPR mount (1.6" high).
The trigger is lighter than the milspec trigger of my BCM AR (4 lb 6.5 oz average for 5 pulls vs 5 lb 11.3 oz for the BCM), but it's long. The reset is very tactile and audible, but also very long.
For shits and giggles, I put my Ferro Concepts sling and my Olight PL2 Valkyrie on.
