Any interest in having a chat feature added to the forums to not-quite-replace the dead IRC system?

Can have private groups/channels, direct messages, search, etc. Also not open to guests, or search engines.
  • Rooms (with embed option)
  • Dedicated guest room with nickname support
  • Archive with search criteria
  • Polls
  • Top chatters page
  • Private conversations
  • Sound, desktop & browser tab notification

This is a neat idea however, I fear Telegram has been around too long and the amount of groups we currently have, do what you’re looking to achieve. :(

This exactly. We have discord and telegram doing all of this.
